Castlepollard's David Devine celebrates with his London team mates following victory over Derry in the Christy Ring Cup final at Croke Park.

Devine the hero as London win Christy Ring Cup title

Castlepollard hurling star David Devine produced a standout performance at Croke Park today, scoring an impressive 1-12 to help London claim the Christy Ring Cup title with a 1-27 to 1-24 victory over Derry.

Devine, who lined out with Warwickshire last year, made the switch to London at the start of the season—and it proved a game-changer. His first-half goal was a key moment in a thrilling contest as the Exiles secured their first Christy Ring Cup title in 13 years.

A son of well-known referee and local councillor Alfie Devine, David’s heroics in Croke Park add another proud chapter to the Devine family’s strong Castlepollard hurling tradition.
