Knitting together for a LARCC fundraiser
Bernie McHugh of Cancer Support Sanctuary LARCC has confirmed that the 2025 Knitted Chick fundraising campaign has raised €3,941 to help to provide free cancer support services to patients and their families in the community.
She said: “To all our volunteer knitters, we say a huge thank you, and to our own Patricia Sheridan, a loyal volunteer and advocate of LARCC, we say a sincere thank-you for your time and dedication to this annual fundraising campaign.”
In the photo with Patricia are Anne McDonagh and Valerie Clarke, who are members of Mullingar ICA, another local community group helping LARCC.
Patricia and her volunteers are putting the call out for more knitters – “if anyone would like to help with the campaign for next year, we would love to hear from you on 044 9371917”, said Bernie, on behalf of the knitters.
“To all those who donated eggs or assisted in selling chicks for LARCC, your generosity has truly made a difference. Together, we are helping those impacted by cancer in the midlands. A heartfelt thank you from all of us, the LARCC team and board members.”
