Mergon welcomed the Road Safety Authority (RSA) to its Castlepollard facility for a dedicated road safety awareness day, aimed at reinforcing the importance of safe practices on and off the road, last month.
The visit formed part of Mergon’s continued commitment to workplace wellbeing, aligning with the company’s values of care, confidence, and curiosity.
The RSA team delivered a powerful message: road safety is everyone’s responsibility, using interactive exhibits and demonstrations.
Staff engaged throughout the day, taking the opportunity to ask questions, share experiences, and reflect on real-life scenarios.
The session offered practical takeaways and encouraged a deeper awareness of how small choices behind the wheel can have lasting impacts.
“Mergon’s culture of curiosity and learning was clearly on display,” said a representative from the RSA. “It was inspiring to see such genuine interest and participation from employees at all levels.”
The event also served as a reminder of the role companies can play in promoting safety beyond the workplace. By fostering informed, safety-conscious habits among staff, Mergon continues to extend its care-driven culture into the wider community.
A company representative offered a “heartfelt thank you to all who contributed to the day’s success, especially the RSA visitors, whose insights left a lasting impression”.
