Westmeath to play Cavan in LGFA intermediate championship quarter-final

Westmeath have been drawn to play Cavan in the quarter-final of the 2025 TG4 LGFA All-Ireland Intermediate Championship.

Having finished in second position in their group, Frank Browne's charges will journey to Cavan for the contest which will take place on Sunday, June 29.

Westmeath suffered a heavy loss to Tyrone in their closing group phase game on Sunday, but the Lake County's two point defeat of Down in their opening fixture ensured progression to the knockout phase of this year's championship.

For their part Cavan topped their group with one win and one loss also, defeating Wicklow by 19 points in their most recent fixture.

Should Westmeath emerge victorious from their quarter-final tie they will meet Tyrone or Fermanagh in a semi-final contest which will be played on Sunday, July 13.
