Adrian Murray Eyes Success on Day Two at Royal Ascot
The Group One Prince of Wales’s Stakes takes centre stage on day two of Royal Ascot, but there’s strong local interest elsewhere on the card, with Mullingar trainer Adrian Murray set to saddle two runners this afternoon.
Paris Carver, who finished a promising fourth on debut in a fillies’ maiden last month, lines up in the opening race of the day, the Queen Mary Stakes, which goes to post at 2.30pm.
Later in the afternoon, Titanium Emperor will contest the Group Two Queen’s Vase at 3.05pm. The Night of Thunder colt was an impressive winner on debut at Dundalk in March but has since failed to make the frame in three consecutive Listed outings.
Murray was also represented on the opening day of the festival, with Power Blue running a fine race to finish fifth of 20 in the Group Two Coventry Stakes, while Crypto Force came home ninth in the Copper Horse Stakes Handicap.
It’s a seven-race card once again at Ascot today, with plenty of Irish interest throughout.
