Good weather forecast for Westmeath in the coming days

After a mixed start to summer, Westmeath is finally set to enjoy a welcome spell of warm, settled weather over the coming days, thanks to a building Azores High, according to the latest Met Éireann forecast.

Today (Monday), conditions will be largely dry across the county with spells of warm sunshine where temperatures could reach up to 23°C. A moderate northwest breeze will keep things feeling a little fresher, especially in more exposed areas. Cooler and cloudier conditions will linger further north, with the chance of a light shower.

Tonight will remain mostly dry with clear spells developing across southern and eastern parts of the country. Temperatures will fall to between 8 and 13°C in a light to moderate breeze.

Tuesday will bring a more humid feel, with patchy drizzle possible at times. However, sunny spells are expected to break through, especially across the midlands, where temperatures could climb to between 17 and 24°C.

Looking ahead, high pressure will take a firm hold from midweek. Wednesday will be largely dry with some sunny intervals, and by Thursday and Friday, temperatures will rise further, possibly reaching 26 to 28°C by the end of the week under mostly clear skies and light breezes.

While there is still a touch of uncertainty about the weekend, early indications suggest the warm, settled weather is likely to continue, bringing some of the finest conditions we have seen so far this summer.

There’s a fantastic line-up of local events planned for the weekend and with the weather set to be beautiful, it is shaping up to be the perfect time to get out and enjoy them.
