Local author makes appeal following lost of jacket

A well known Mullingar author is making an appeal to the public following the lost of a treasured item of clothing.

Anne Griffin posted this note this morning:

This is what I call my writers jacket. I wear it to all literary festivals and it is now lost!

I think I lost it at Mullingar Literary Festival, the weekend of 4 July.

It has a white Maya Angelou badge given to me by a fan of my books, a navy Eiffel Tower badge given to me from my French translator, and a purple feather pin from my mother that reminded me of a writing quill.

It’s hugely sentimental.
