Grandparents day: Liz Murphy with Caolan, Ruadhan and Seoidin MurphyGaelscoil an Mhuilinn recently celebrated ‘Lá na Seantuistí’ - a day dedicated to the special bond between grandparents and grandchildren.
The grandparents participated in a fun activity with their grandchildren in the school agus bhí a lán spórt agus spraoi sna seomraí ranga difriúla. Halla na Scoile was open throughout the day serving light refreshments.
The day finished in the Cathedral where the school community was invited to come together and celebrate a special Mass officiated by an tAthair Barra de Faoite. Lá álainn speisialta a bhí ann.
The day was a huge success and the school is already looking forward to celebrating it next year.
School principal Bríd de Bhial said: “Míle buíochas le gach duine idir daltaí, iar-dhaltaí, foireann na scoile, tuistí, iar-thuistí agus pobal na scoile uile a tháinig le chéile chun cabhrú leis an scoil an lá seo a eagrú. Ní neart go cur le chéile!”
