Pedestrian crossing lights on Dominick Square not working

The pedestrian crossing lights at Dominick Square in Mullingar have reportedly not been working for some time now.

Although the lights for traffic are working, they are not changing when pedestrians press the button, leaving many people waiting for them to change.

Cllr Bill Collentine had claimed at a council meeting in March that some motorists were already driving straight through the roundabout.

Westmeath County Council have advised, in response to a query from the Westmeath Examiner, that the situation is currently being investigated by their team.
