Circuit Court hearing for feud accused
A number of men alleged to have been involved in an escalating feud in Mullingar in 2024 were handed the book of evidence against them at last week’s sitting of Mullingar District Court.
Kyle Conway (45) of 16 Lakeland Drive, Mullingar, Westmeath, Hugh Myers (32) of 48 Grange Crescent, Mullingar, Gerard Nevin (20) of 20 Ennell Court, Mullingar, Michael Nevin (20) 45 Grange Heights, Mullingar, and John Paul Nevin (25) 261 Dalton Park, Mullingar, were sent forward for trial in Mullingar Circuit Court by Judge Bernadette Owens.
Garda Enda Redden gave evidence to the court of serving the books of evidence to each of the defendants of the day of the court sitting.
The charges stem from an incident on July 13, 2024 at Mill House, Canal Avenue, Mullingar. Each defendant is accused of engaging in violent disorder in that they used violence to intimidate others. The defendants are also accused of criminal damage on the same date.
In each of the cases Judge Owens issued the defendants with an alibi warning, telling them if they wished to put forward an alibi they must inform the prosecution within 14 days.
Judge Owens granted legal aid to each of the applicants and remanded the men on continuing bail to appear before the Circuit Court on November 27, 2025.
