Man running 32 marathons in 32 days to stop in Mullingar
Kerry man Brendán O’Neill is undertaking a remarkable feat this summer, running 32 marathons in 32 days across all 32 counties of Ireland.
Brendán is raising funds for Focus Ireland, which is a charity aiming to end homelessness in Ireland.
He started his journey in Antrim on Wednesday, July 23, and is hoping to finish in his hometown of Listowel in County Kerry.
Brendán O’Neill will stop off in Mullingar to mark his Westmeath stop on Wednesday, August 6, before heading toward Offaly and Kildare.
Brendán said: “This challenge is about more than running—it’s about showing solidarity with those who face the harsh reality of homelessness every day.
I believe in the power of community, and I’m running to make a real difference.”
Cian Dalton, Community Fundraising Officer for Focus Ireland, added: “Brendán’s commitment is truly inspiring. Every step he takes helps shine a light on the urgent need to support people experiencing homelessness. We’re proud to stand with him.”
