Nanny Quinn's Restaurant and Bar to close down next week

Nanny Quinn's restaurant and bar in Killucan will close its doors on Sunday August 17, after more than a decade in business.

Located on the Royal Canal, the restaurant is popular with cyclists and walkers, as well as residents of the area.

During the August bank holiday weekend, the owners marked 13 years in business, but have decided to close their doors on August 17.

Speaking to the Westmeath Examiner, owner Rosie said: “These last 13 years have been really good, and we loved every second of it.

“We just feel that as a family, it's time for us to move on to the next chapter in our lives.”

In a statement on their social media page, Nanny Quinns said: “Please come and see us over the next couple of weeks before we go, we plan to be cooking up a storm and make the most of our last couple of weeks.”
