Mullingar vet launches new home service – backed by 30 years of trusted care

David Fagan, a well-known veterinary surgeon in Mullingar’s, celebrates 30 years as a practising vet in the town this month, and to mark the milestone, he has launched an new service bringing veterinary expertise directly to homes.

David established the region’s first dedicated pet hospital in 1995, and spent three decades as former clinical director of Mullingar Pet Hospital, providing top-tier medical care for family pets across the midlands, and developing a reputation for kindness and compassion along the way.

Recognising the growing demand for home-based services, he has now left the business he founded to establish Mullingar Home Vet, an innovative, pet-centric veterinary service focused on stress-free, in-home care for dogs and cats where they feel most secure and comfortable – in their own homes.

“Home vet equals happy pet,” says David. “I want to take the anxiety out of vet visits for both pets and their owners.

“Whether I’m in your kitchen or speaking with you over Zoom, I bring the same clinical standards, care, and experience I’ve become known for over three decades.”

Mullingar Home Vet offers a full range of services, from check-ups and preventative care like vaccinations, to pain management in elderly animals, and even humane euthanasia.

With the launch of the service, local pet owners can now access expert care without the stress of travel or waiting rooms.
