Guidance counsellor lays out important info for Leaving Cert students ahead of results day
The Leaving Certificate results for 2025 will be released on Friday 22 August.
Key Information
Accessing Results: Results will be available through the Candidate Self Service Portal (CSSP), where students can log in to view their scores.
Important Dates Following Results:
• CAO Round 1 Offers: Monday 25 August
• Round 1 Offer Acceptance Deadline: Friday 29 August
• Deadline to Apply to View Scripts: Friday 23 August
• Online Viewing of Marked Scripts: Saturday and Sunday 30 and 31 August
Deadline to Submit Appeals: Wednesday 3 September.
How to Access Your Results
Your results are now accessed online through the Candidate Self-Service Portal and, are also available in school
The State Examinations Commission intends to issue the 2025 Leaving Certificate and Leaving Certificate applied examination results to candidates on Friday 22 August 2025

• PPS Number

If a candidate needs to contact the SEC, the email address for candidate enquiries is candidateportal@examinations.ie and the phone number is 090-6442702.
After getting their Leaving Cert results, students will have some things to consider.
• The next steps for many students will be navigating the CAO.
• Round 0 offers opened on Thursday, August 7 for certain non-standard categories of applicants. Students receive an offer by email and SMS text. Round 0 acceptances close on Tuesday, August 12, 3pm.
• Round 1 offers become available online on Wednesday, August 27, 2pm. Offers will also be issued by email and SMS text. Applicants who have not received an offer will receive a ‘Statement of Application’ email. The closing date for Round 1 acceptance is Tuesday September 2 at 3pm.
• Round 2 offers become available online on Monday September 8, 2pm. The closing date for Round 2 acceptance is Wednesday September 10, 3pm.
• Round 3 offers become available online on Tuesday September 16, 2pm. The closing date for Round 3 acceptance is Thursday September 18, 202,5 at 3pm.
• Round 4 offers become available online on Tuesday September 23, 2pm. The closing date for Round 4 acceptance is Thursday September 25, 3pm.
• Round 5 offers become available online on Tuesday September 30, 2pm. The closing date for Round 5 acceptance is Thursday, October 2, 3pm.
• The Available Place facililty opens to students on Thursday, August 28 at noon.
• On November 5, the CAO opens to 2026 Leaving Cert applicants.
