The 1428 Active Retirement Club, Harbour Street, is open 9am-5pm Mon-Thurs. Fridays, close at lunchtime.
Pay a visit, because you’ll never know what you are missing till you check it out. Coffee mornings and bingo on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Go for Life, Gaeilge and Cookery sessions on Wednesdays. Also IT; Advocacy; CHIME and Footcare Clinic. (CHIME and Footcare Clinic on Fridays only). Go for Life Wednesdays at 10am, an hour of exercises for the older person tailored to help keep joints and bones in good working order. You will enjoy the friendly experience at this session.
From Monday to Thursdays, there are times for IT tutoring – give us a call and let us know what the problem is. One to one hour of tuition has to be booked.
Talk to Ewa on Tuesday mornings at approx 10.30am, regarding clothing alterations needs, or leave the items or curtains with a staff member with instructions. Ewa can also quote you for re-upholstering furniture, or making curtains or soft furnishings or altering them.
CHIME is a hearing aid service. Small repairs, cleaning carried out on your hearing aid regardless of where it was purchased. You can also buy batteries for your hearing aid (there’s a small increase in the cost of the batteries). Please book for the next clinic, August 29.
Holiday to Oranmore, County Galway (Oranmore Hotel) from Sun Sept 28 to Oct 2; four nights B&B with evening meals €400 per person sharing. Entertainment each evening; it’s a four-minute walk to Oranmore. Bus from Oranmore to Galway every half hour.
