Westmeath Foxhounds Puppy Show

A large crowd gathered at the Westmeath Hunt kennels, Knockdrin, Mullingar, on Friday evening, August 15, for the annual Westmeath Foxhounds Puppy Show.

Masters Helen Moorehead, Ann Derwin, Cyril O’Hara and Jim Derwin, along with the committee, welcomed neighbours and friends to the event. The evening also marked the introduction of newly appointed huntsman, Mikey Bell, formerly of the West Norfolk Hunt.

The hounds were presented and judged by Pat Hayes, chairman of the IMFHA, and Andrew Kendall, former master of the West Norfolk Hunt.

The sun shone down on what was an enjoyable and successful evening. Thanks and appreciation were expressed to landowners, farmers and all hunt supporters for their continued goodwill.

The dedicated puppy walkers were also acknowledged for their time and effort in preparing the young hounds, helping to make the evening such a memorable occasion.
