School secretaries and caretakers represented by Fórsa began indefinite strike action last Thursday, 28 August, in protest at their exclusion from public service pensions and basic entitlements.
Members attended pickets at the Department of Education offices in Dublin on Thurday, and department offices at Lissywollen, Athlone, on Friday.
Local members will hold protests in Mullingar this week, and they are asking for your support.
A group of secretaries will be picketing at Loretto College from around 8.15am, tomorrow Monday September 1, and secretaries will be joined by caretakers for a picket at the offices of Minister Peter Burke on Tuesday.
They plan to picket at other schools in the area as the week goes on.
