Greville Arms to host annual Mullingar Art Room Exhibition

The annual Mullingar Art Room Exhibition will take place in the Greville Arms Hotel on Friday September 19, from 6pm to 9pm.

Admission to the event is free, with the team expecting it to be as much of a success as last year, with organisers calling it “not just an exhibition; it’s a feast for the eyes and the imagination.”

The exhibition will continue throughout the weekend, running from Saturday 20 from 11am to 9pm, and Sunday 21, from 11am to 6pm.

The exhibition is being organised by a group of local artists, who meet every Thursday at the Charity Variety Group premises in Forrest Park.

Artists whose work features in the exhibit includes Tommy Bolger, Martina Cassidy, Angela Cotter, Sarah Curran, Gordon Duffy, Bernie Fay, Peter Finch, Kieran Gaine, Teresa Gammell, Mary Hunt, Ann Keating and Brenda Smyth.

A spokesperson from the group said: “Mark the date, bring your friends, bring your family, or even come alone and meet new faces who share a love of art.

“Step through the doors of the Greville Arms Hotel and prepare to be inspired, you never know, you might leave wanting to pick up a paintbrush yourself!”
