Gardai seize €20,000 worth of cannabis in Mullingar

Gardai in Mullingar searched a property in the Patrick Street area of Mullingar, discovering €20,000 worth of cannabis.

Westmeath Divisional Drugs Unit searched the property as part of the National Garda Anti-Drugs Operation, Operation Tara.

In a Facebook post by An Garda Síochána, they said: “Earlier this evening, Gardai from the Westmeath Divisional Drugs Unit, under operation Tara, searched a property in the Patrick St area of Mullingar, and discovered over €20,000 worth of Cannabis.

“A male in his 20's was arrested and conveyed to Mullingar Garda Station, where he was later charged to appear before the District Court, later this month, with a breach of a number of offences under the Misuse of Drugs Act.”
