Hospital teams to face off in charity soccer match
Healthcare workers in the Emergency Department of Midlands Regional Hospital Mullingar have challenged the X-ray Department in a charity soccer match to raise funds for the Irish Cancer Society.
Mullingar Town AFC’s football pitch has been donated by the club to be used to host the game on September 13 at 2pm.
This charity match is the brainchild of Richie Geoghegan and Tracy Fox, who both recently lost their mothers and wanted to give something back.
Richie said: “We would really appreciate any support on the day and hope to gather a big crowd. There will be refreshments and music, so please come along for the craic and to raise some funds for the Irish Cancer Society.”
