The great year Kilbeggan juveniles have had came to a sparkling end in Fermoy at the weekend.

The national matchplay was held on the majestic cork course and our young players made a huge impression.

Pippa Cuffe, even carrying a hand injury, got to the girls final but had to give way to Tipperary girl Sarah Ryan. Sean Condron and Aaron Seery had to play each other in the plate semi final. Sean prevailed and went on to win the shield.

Well done to Sean and particularly well done to Aaron. Overall, it was a great weekend to finish off the season.

Best wishes to Gemma Cuffe who is on the county ladies team in Tipperary this coming weekend. Best of luck also to our gents senior team and their manager Alan Devaney.
