Mullingar firm says new certification will fuel further growth and expansion
Mullingar-based DIGI Labels has achieved the British Retail Consortium Global Standards (BRCGS) certification for packaging materials, for both direct and indirect food contact. BRCGS is one of the most rigorous standards for manufacturers serving the food industry.
DIGI Labels was established in 1986 and is family-owned. The certification follows strict audits at the company’s label production facility in Mullingar. The facility produces labels for customers across the food and beverage, chemical, pharmaceutical, logistics and cosmetic industries. It is one of three DIGI Group locations in Ireland.
The company, which has already grown staff by 56% in four years, remains dedicated to improvement and growth, and more investment and certifications are in the plans. It was approved for membership of Guaranteed Irish just last month.
Declan Boran, general manager of DIGI Labels, said: “We are thrilled to have achieved the BRCGS certification. Consumer safety and protection are paramount. We understand that our customers need to ensure all points in their product supply chains meet rigorous standards, and this achievement helps to provide that reassurance.”
Jennifer Keogh, commercial manager, added: “The BRCGS direct food contact accreditation is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team. It shows our commitment to providing our customers with the highest quality products. We will continue to strive for excellence in all aspects of our operations.”
“This certification demonstrates our commitment to excellence, and also gives our customers confidence that our labelling meets the most stringent international standards for food contact packaging materials,” concluded Kevin McGoldrick, sales manager.
