An art exhibition opening for everyone to enjoy

The members of Mullingar Art Room have issued an general invite to the opening of their annual exhibition, on Culture Night, Friday September 19 at 6pm.

“Join us for an evening filled with art, conversation, and celebration as we showcase the creativity and talent of our local artists.”

The opening is part of the nationwide Culture Night programme, “and we’re excited to open our doors to the whole community. Everyone is welcome – come along, bring a friend, and share in the joy of art and connection”.

Approximately 15 artists meet each Thursday in the Mullingar Charity Variety Group premises at Forest Park. New members of any standard are always welcome to the group. In addition to artistic tips and a sharing of techniques, they are guaranteed a bit of banter, a good laugh and therapy for the soul each Thursday night. People find they even surprise themselves with the artwork they can produce when working within the group.

The exhibition will remain open for viewing on Saturday September 20 11am to 9pm and again on Sunday 11am to 6pm.

Mullingar Art Room would like to thank Westmeath County Council, in particular Laura McCormack and Geraldine Barden from the Arts Office, for the much-appreciated grant aid and assistance in preparing for the exhibition. “We would also like to thank the Greville Arms Hotel for their hospitality.”
