'One More Push' skating from Mullingar to Athlone and back

Kinnegad man Wayne Gallagher is skating from Mullingar to Athlone and back on Sunday, September 21, in aid of his friend Scott Keegan, who is in need of a wheelchair accessible vehicle.

Wayne’s organisation, “One More Push,” has shown no signs of slowing down, as he just recently completed a skate all the way from Galway to Dublin in aid of Helium Arts.

This skate is 88 kilometres in length, and he aims to complete the entire journey in one day.

Anyone is free to join Wayne, and the skate is starting off from the Old Rail Trail at around 10.30 on Sunday.

Wayne encouraged anyone interested to get involved in the skate, saying, “It's easier than skating a 10 stair, you won't know if you don't try.

“It’s all in aid of raising money for Scott Keegan, to help him get his wheelchair accessible car and give him back his independence.”
