Twenty buildings listed as derelict

There are currently 20 properties listed on the derelict sites register for the Municipal District of Mullingar Kinnegad, the mayor, Cllr Mick Dollard, was informed when he raised the issue with officials at the district’s September meeting, seeking “a detailed breakdown” of the numbers.

The response from the district stated that while there are 20 properties on the register, four – one each in Killucan, Collinstown, Mullingar and Delvin - have undergone renovation and will be removed from the register on final inspection.

“Following the removal of those properties, the Derelict Sites Register will comprise five in Kinnegad, one in Rathwire, one in Killucan, six in Mullingar, two in Castlepollard and one in Delvin.”
