Santa out of season! The Man in Red called to Mount Druid the other day to make sure that preparations for the Christmas Express are going well. He said he was pleased with progress, and he's looking forward to meeting the boys and girls in a few weeks.

All aboard the Christmas Express at Mount Druid

Anyone who wants to be on track for a great Christmas would be well advised to book a ticket for a new event at Mount Druid, Castletown Geoghegan.

The organisers have arranged a journey through the enchanted grounds of the estate for a festive adventure like no other.

“Hop aboard The Christmas Express tram and travel through twinkling Elven Wood – peek into the elves’ cosy homes, train at Elf Academy, and send a letter straight to Santa at the Magic Mailbox Portal.”

The Santa Express tram is ready for departure.

Visitors will also discover Santa’s Sleigh Port, where his real sleigh waits ready for its magical launchpad. They can climb aboard and capture festive photos in an enchanting setting.

The journey takes visitors to Santa’s Square, where they can meet Santa, receive gift, and relax in Mrs Claus’s kitchen fair with wood-fired pizza slices, hot drinks, popcorn, candy floss, and much more.

With dazzling lights, immersive activities, photo-perfect backdrops, and festive cheer at every turn, The Christmas Express at Mount Druid is a great Christmas experience, and it’s just 15 minutes outside Mullingar.

It runs from late November into December on weekends 10am–8pm and select weekdays 4–8pm. Sensory-friendly slots are available.
