Joy and smiles at Coláiste Mhuire after ‘exceptional Junior Cycle results’

Coláiste Mhuire Secondary School, Mullingar, is celebrating another year of outstanding academic success following the publication of this year’s Junior Cycle results on Wednesday.

The school community is immensely proud of the exceptionally high attainment levels achieved by its students across all subject areas. Principal Keith Quinn commended the students and staff for their hard work, commitment, and resilience throughout the three-year Junior Cycle: “We are delighted with the exceptional results achieved by our students. Once again, our Junior Cycle results are significantly above national norms, and there are high levels of attainment across the full range of subjects.

“These results reflect the consistent effort, motivation and determination shown by our students, supported by the outstanding teaching and encouragement of our dedicated staff.”

Mr Quinn also noted that the increase in distinction-level grades nationally was clearly mirrored in the Coláiste Mhuire results, a trend welcomed by teachers: “This improvement accurately reflects the genuine ability and sustained effort of our students,” said Mr Quinn. “It also serves as an important motivator for the students as they move forward to the Leaving Certificate, where high expectations and continued ambition are key to their success.”

In light of the continued high level of attainment, Mr Quinn was keen to highlight the holistic success of this group of students: “The Junior Cycle is not just about examination grades; we value learning, wellbeing, personal growth and contribution to school life. This milestone is a success and accomplishment for each and every one of our boys. They should be extremely proud of their achievements.”

The principal also extended appreciation to parents and guardians for their ongoing partnership with the school: “We are fortunate to have such supportive families who work hand in hand with us in guiding their sons through these important years. Education is most effective when school and home work together, and these results are testament to that partnership.”

As Coláiste Mhuire continues to grow and innovate, the school remains committed to maintaining the highest standards of teaching, learning and student care.

“Our students embody everything we value at Coláiste Mhuire – positivity, pride and performance. Their results are a source of immense pride for our entire school community,” Mr Quinn concluded.
