Bressie to play show at The Chambers
Local musician, Niall Breslin, aka Bressie, has announced a second gig to promote the release of his latest album, ‘The Place That Has Never Been Wounded’.
The second show, which was announced as the Multyfarnham Friary gig, sold out, will be held in The Chambers Bar on Thursday October 30.
As a venue, Multyfarnham Friary perfectly reflects the albums mood, with Bressie previously referring to the work as “an ambient piano album”, and being one of the most tranquil places in the county, it really suited the album.
However, doing two gigs there wasn’t possible, and as The Chambers Bar is running the gig, it makes sense that the second performance is in the pub itself.
Speaking on his hopes for the gig in The Chambers, Bressie said: “The gig in the Friary sold out pretty quickly. I wanted to do another gig, because I think its important, and the lads in the Chambers have a beautiful new venue there.
“The gig is pianos and a string quartet, with chats, never a full-on face-melting guitar kind of night. It would be nice with a glass of wine or a few beers, just for people to relax, listen to some music, and have a chat.”
On a Thursday before Halloween, it seems like this is a perfect night for this sort of gig.
Visitors will be treated to a relaxing evening of music and calmness, with signed copies of his new album available in The Chambers.
