Plans for Saunders Bridge development

Westmeath County Council planners have received an approach by a developer about a proposed 93 unit development.

Tiberville Ltd made the pre-validation approach to the local authority planning office regarding the 93 residential units and childcare facility at Saunders Bridge, Ardmore Road, Mullingar, Westmeath.

Situated on an 11 acre site the proposed development will consist of: 81 two-storey housing units; five 5 three-bed mid-terraced units, 54 three-bed semi-detached units, 22 four-bed semi-detached units and 12 two-bed apartment units in a singular block, and a crèche facility.

The plans include proposals for residential access road and associated residential road network, active travel route, 184 car parking spaces and 220 cycle parking spaces.

The proposal includes all associated hard and soft landscaping, boundary treatments, footpaths an ESB Sub-Station, and all other ancillary works above and below ground.

The local authority have indicated that a preliminary decision date may be in early December.
