Fine success for Robyn Kelly ahead of European Championships

Ballynacargy boxer, Robyn Kelly won a round-robin tournament in Belfast over the weekend of October 12.

The talented star enjoyed two very good wins against England and Hungary number ones, producing fine performances. She boxed great and is back into a training camp with the high performance team until the European championships in Budapest in five weeks' time.

"We were delighted with the form Robyn showed and the high level of training and preparation has brought things up another level. She is making progress all the time and we're looking forward to the Europeans now," said her father and coach, Camillus Kelly.

Earlier this year, Robyn won the National U23 title in fine style and star continues to rise. She showed her class in the bouts against Gieona Cuedajri of England and Laura Horvath of Hungry in what was a high-standard event in Belfast.
