Dovida Midlands to host IMNDA Walk While You Can 5k at St Loman's GAA grounds

Dovida Midlands are supporting the IMNDA Walk While You Can campaign this autumn and have organised a 5k to take place at the St Loman’s GAA grounds tomorrow, Saturday November 8 at 11am.

More than 470 people in Ireland are affected by Motor Neurone Disease, and the support organisation is saying “it’s up to all of us to ensure that Walk While You Can continues to raise funds” for them.

Those contributing to the fundraising will be helping to fund the IMNDA nursing service, extra home care hours and equipment needed to keep people at home, and “also sending a powerful message of hope to every family affected by MND”.

Encouraging people to support tomorrow’s event, Lorraine McLaughlin, general manager Dovida Midlands, said: “The IMNDA is a fantastic organisation that does so much for those impacted by Motor Neurone Disease. We’re privileged to play our part to raise vital funds to help those affected receive the care and support they need.”

We hear that Typo coffee will be offering a discount on coffee for anyone taking part.
