Gents Branch notes
This weekend’s competition was a 15-hole stableford played by 89 golfers.
CAT 1 (0–10): Winner Andrew Maslin, 33pts; Runner-up Kenneth Rabbitt, 31pts.
CAT 2 (11–16): Winner Donald Bell, 34pts; Runner-up Declan Sweeney, 32pts.
CAT 3 (17+): Winner Pat L’Estrange, 29pts; Runner-up Jim Baker Snr, 29pts.
The Winter League continues. Rounds can be played Sunday–Saturday each week. Please note the Winter League is 12 holes only at present — 1–10, 15 and 16. This will change as work on the course continues.

Men’s Seniors
No competition took place this week due to inclement weather leading to a flooded course. The Hampers competition can be played at any point Monday–Friday to ensure the three rounds are completed by week ending Friday December 5.
Please note there will be a Shotgun Scramble on Tuesday December 9 – more details to follow.

Mullingar Ladies Branch Notes

Due to persistent heavy rain and saturated course conditions over the past few days, Wednesday’s competition was cancelled.
Lady Captain’s Dinner – Saturday November 8
What a fabulous night at Mullingar Golf Club for the Lady Captain’s Dinner. A full house turned out to celebrate a wonderful year under our brilliant Lady Captain, Aideen. Everyone looked fabulous, the food was delicious, the drinks flowed, and the music by Paulie and Niall kept everyone dancing late into the night.
It was extra special to have Aideen’s mummy and family there to share in the celebrations, and guests also joined in marking Aideen’s birthday. Sincere thanks to the Bar, Catering, Kitchen and Office staff for their professionalism and hard work in ensuring everything ran smoothly. Well done Lady Captain Aideen on a fantastic year and a wonderful evening.
