Some One's Sons starting off huge tour at Mullingar Arts Centre
Westmeath folk band Some One’s Sons released their new single on October 31 called ‘The Chance to Feel Alive’. Along with that, the group are preparing for an Ireland and UK tour in the first six months of 2026, starting with a home town gig at Mullingar Arts Centre.
The group have been busy over the last four years, supporting The Scratch, Sharon Shannon, and playing at Electric Picnic and the Gig Rig at the Fleadh in Wexford.
Daniel Allen of Some One’s Sons spoke to the Westmeath Examiner, saying: “We are delighted to start the tour in Mullingar. As well as that, though, we will play a lot of UK venues that we never have before.
Starting the tour and ending the year at the arts centre is going to be a highlight for us. “Greg and I became friends there, and most of us got our first opportunities on stage there, looking back; Greg and I performed the Mullingar panto for about six or seven years, so a Christmas show on that stage will be extra special.”
The lads are all proud Westmeath men, all coming from the surrounding areas of Mullingar, and no doubt; starting their huge tour off in their hometown is going to be a special memory for them.,
