Eagerly awaited all-new Nissan Leaf to be unveiled in Mullingar
Mullingar Nissan are over the moon to be getting its hands on the all-new Nissan Leaf a full two months before its official launch in Ireland, where it is destined to become a massive hit with EV drivers.
The all-new Leaf is winning rave reviews with an incredible range of up to 622 kilometres and the power to recover up to 420 kilometres after just 30 minutes of DC fast-charging.
Mullingar Nissan has secured exclusive access to the car from 9.30am until 7pm Monday 1 December and 8.30am to 12pm on Tuesday 2 December. No appointment is necessary, and visitors are welcome to drop by the showroom at Lough Sheever Corporate Park in Mullingar at any time to see the car when it is on display.
“The Nissan Leaf was the world’s first mass-market EV, and this is the next step in its evolution. It has been reimagined as a crossover. The design is now much sleeker and sharper and its extended range and connected technology is a game-changer for EV drivers,” said John McDermott, sales manager at Mullingar Nissan.
“We are delighted to get our hands on the car and to showcase it to our customers in Mullingar and across Westmeath. This is their chance to be the first to see it up close, to book a test-drive and to order it before it arrives in showrooms in early February.
“The all-new Leaf has been specifically engineered to tackle the barriers to EV adoption. It goes further on one charge, it charges faster when you need to recharge, and it delivers impressive range at motorway speeds, which is great news for anyone thinking of making the switch to electric driving,” John added.
The 75kWh battery version has a range of up to 622 kilometres, and the 52kWh battery offers above 440 kilometres range. With a motorway range of up to 330km at 130kph and up to 430km at 110kph, and an energy consumption as low as 13.8 kWh/100km, longer journeys can be accomplished with fewer charging stops.
The all-new Leaf has been designed to meet the everyday needs of families whether that is the school run, heading to work, or enjoying a weekend away or longer holiday trips. There is plenty of room inside and it is family-ready with a spacious cabin and 437 litres of cargo space.
The onboard technology is designed for seamless integration. NissanConnect with Google built-in is at the heart of the connected experience, offering Google Maps with In Car Route Planner, Google Assistance for hands free control over navigation, media, climate and more, and Google Play for apps, streaming and productivity tools.
The new Leaf is also equipped with a suite of advanced safety and driver assistance features from Intelligent Emergency Braking and Blind Spot Intervention to Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Lane Keep Assist.
