Carrs back for quarter finals of Ireland’s Fittest Family

The Carr family are back on RTÉ this weekend when they compete in a quarter final of Ireland’s Fittest Family, at Hell and Back, Kilruddery County Wicklow.

In this, the last quarter final sees new coach Ellen Keane takes on Anna Geary and Davy Fitzgerald.

Anna has the Carr family from Westmeath, Davy has the McDonagh family from Mayo and Ellen has the Stuart family from Dublin.

The three families and coaches are battling it out for the last two of the six places left in the semifinals at Drogheda Port.

This year the competition returns to The Bog, but instead of a time trial, the families will be racing each other in Battle Of The Bog.

Two members of each family have to battle against the other families through the sticky course, before releasing the other two family members to do the same.

Next they take on a new time trial – Monkey Madness – an obstacle course that culminates in a series of punishing monkey bars.

With the scores of the first two events combined, the highest-scoring family will go through to the next round, and the two families at the bottom to face off in the Eliminator for another spot in the semifinals.
