A Lotto win for Westmeath!

Westmeath player scoops €6.2 million Jackpot in last night’s Lotto Draw

Westmeath is celebrating a run of big wins this week after a player in the county has won the Lotto Jackpot to claim €6,241,505 in Wednesday’s (December 3) Lotto draw, just days after another local player won a EuroDreams Tier 2 prize worth €2,000 a month for five years.

The Westmeath winner becomes the ninth Lotto Jackpot winner of 2025, joining others from Louth, Dublin, Kerry, Limerick, Kilkenny, Mayo and Waterford.

This win also crowns them the 26th National Lottery millionaire of the year.

A Cork player is also celebrating today after matching five numbers and the bonus to secure a prize of €122,669. Their Quick Pick ticket was purchased on 2 December day from Broderick’s Shop, Shanagarry Cross, Shanagarry, Midleton.

The winning numbers from last night’s draw were 4, 21, 23, 27, 34, 38 and the Bonus was 37.

The National Lottery has confirmed that the store location where the winning Lotto Jackpot ticket was purchased will be announced tomorrow, Friday 5 December.

Darragh O’Dwyer, National Lottery spokesperson, said: “What makes this win even more remarkable is that it’s the second big prize to land in Westmeath this week! On Monday, a player in the county scooped the EuroDreams Tier 2 prize worth €2,000 a month for five years, and now, just days later, we have a Lotto jackpot winner taking home €6,241,505.

“Add to that, Sunday’s Daily Million top prize win of €1 million in Cavan, makes this an extraordinary week of big wins for our players.”

The National Lottery is urging players in the Westmeath and Cork areas to check their tickets carefully and if you’re holding the winning ticket, be sure to contact the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie to arrange the collection of your prize.
