Woodie’s in Westmeath raise €16,000 for 2025 Heroes Campaign

Woodie’s colleagues in Westmeath celebrated the wrap-up of the 11th annual Woodie’s Heroes campaign after raising almost €16,000. With support from customers, colleagues, and suppliers, Woodie’s Mullingar raised €8,750 and Woodie’s Athlone raised €7,185, for Autism Assistance Dogs Ireland, Cancer Fund for Children, Childline by ISPCC, and Down Syndrome Ireland.

Woodie’s Heroes was established in 2015, and this year’s fundraiser raised €598,205, taking the total amount to €4.7 million.

All funds raised will be divided equally among the chosen charities.

Woodie’s CEO Damien Dwyer said: “For 11 years Woodie’s Heroes and our colleagues have stood alongside children’s charities in Ireland, supporting children and their families through their toughest challenges. Since 2015 we’ve raised more than €4.7 million, an achievement that reflects the dedication of our colleagues at 35 stores and the generosity of our customers and suppliers.

“Woodie’s Heroes has become a proud part of who we are, and together, we’ve made a real and lasting difference to the lives of those these charities support.

“At Woodie’s, we’re honoured to play an active role in the communities we serve across Ireland. Alongside our work with Woodie’s Heroes, we encourage colleagues to volunteer their time to make a positive difference by supporting local charities.

"So far this year, our teams have dedicated 263 days to volunteering, championing causes close to their hearts and making an impact with a wide range of organisations.”
