Met Éireann warning for 'very strong and gusty southerly winds' on Tuesday

The Met Éireann Weather Warning Alerting Service advises most of the county will be affected by high winds from the early hours of Tuesday morning till that night.

The message with the Yellow level warning is: Very strong and gusty southerly winds with gales possible near coasts. Increased risk in coastal areas due to coincidence with very high spring tides.

Possible impacts:

• Difficult travel conditions

• Flooding of low-lying coastal areas

• Wave overtopping

• Debris, loose objects displaced

• Outdoor events impacted

Affected Regions: Carlow, Cavan, Clare, Cork, Donegal, Dublin, Galway, Kerry, Kildare, Kilkenny, Leitrim, Laois, Limerick, Longford, Louth, Mayo, Meath, Monaghan, Offaly, Roscommon, Sligo, Tipperary, Waterford, Westmeath, Wexford, and Wicklow
