Midlands Simon Community and Midlands 103 Launch Christmas Appeal
Midlands Simon Community have launched the Midlands 103 and Midlands Simon Christmas Appeal, a regional fundraising campaign running until Christmas Eve with a target of €20,000 to support people who are homeless or at risk across Laois, Offaly, Westmeath and Longford.
The appeal is being delivered in partnership with Midlands 103, whose backing will help raise awareness and drive donations throughout the region.
“We are very grateful to Midlands 103 for joining forces with us on this year’s appeal,” said Michael O’Brien, fundraising officer.
“Their support is instrumental in helping us raise the vital funds needed to support those facing homelessness this Christmas.”
All money raised will stay in the midlands, providing accommodation, outreach, support services and essential care for individuals and families who urgently need assistance.
Members of the public can donate quickly and easily online through iDonate or by scanning the QR code featured on the campaign’s promotional materials.
People can send donations by post to: Midlands Simon Community Presentation House, City Quarter Athlone, County Westmeath.
Cheques should be made payable to Midlands Simon Community.
“We’re asking the people of the midlands to come together and help us reach our €20,000 target,” Michael added.
“Any donation, big or small, will make a meaningful difference to someone’s life this Christmas.”
The appeal runs until midnight on Christmas Eve.
