Gardaí confirm discovery of man's body in Longford

Foul play is not suspected.

Gardaí and emergency services attended a premises on Tuesday morning where a man's body was discovered.

The body of the man, aged in his 50s, was removed to the mortuary at Midland Regional Hospital Mullingar.

A post mortem examination will take place in due course, which will determine the course of the investigation.

In a statement the Garda Press Office said: "Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene following report of the discovery of the body of a man at a premises in Longford Town on Tuesday, December 16, 2025."
