Exhibition at the Atrium opens

A new art exhibition celebrating beauty, nature, and resilience is now open at the Atrium Space, County Buildings, Mullingar. Ukrainian artist Natalia Yakorieva has launched her solo exhibition, Petals and Pulse, which runs till 30 January.

The collection brings together an array of vibrant works that reflect Yakorieva’s enduring appreciation for the world around her – from blooming gardens and symbolic portraits to colourful abstractions.

Using varied techniques including printing, drawing, etching, and interior painting, the artist invites visitors to explore a space where colour and light express universal themes of harmony and hope.

Born in Ukraine and now based in Ireland, Yakorieva’s latest exhibition also traces her personal journey, one shaped by movement, adaptation, and creative expression.

Her work, she explains, seeks to “capture moments of stillness and motion” while offering audiences a sense of connection and peace.

The exhibition is hosted by Westmeath County Council and is part of the council’s ongoing programme to highlight local and international artists working within the county.

Members of the public are warmly invited to visit the Atrium throughout January to experience the show.
