Midlands native reality TV star Maura Higgins made her debut apperance on The Traitors US last night (Thursday).

Maura is among a star-studded cast that includes The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Lisa Rinna, and Donna Kelce, the mother of Taylor Swift's fiancé Travis Kelce.

Others lined-up as part of the 23-person cast for the latest season of the show include Dorinda Medley of The Real Housewives of New York, Colton Underwood of The Bachelor, and Ian Terry of Big Brother.

Warning other contestants not to underestimate her on the show, Maura said:

"I've got a brain in there. I watch a lot of true crime - I know how a serial killer works."

Laughing, Maura added: "That sounds so evil!"

The fourth season of Emmy-winning reality series The Traitors exclusively premiered on Peacock on Thursday, January 8.
