Great start to the new year as BMB Active celebrated Little Christmas in style in Bloomfield House Hotel, where members were served dinner, enjoyed socialising, relaxing and chatting. A special Go raibh maith agat to the committee members who organised the event.

BMB Active AGM

Multyfarnham Community Centre January 29 for BMB Active AGM; on the last Thursday of this month, January 29, at 11.00, BMB Active hold the AGM. This important meeting provides members past and present to bring forth new perspectives and ideas about how this ‘bottom up’ organisation is run and how planning events and activities takes shape.

Your ideas are always welcome. Election of officers and committee members will take place. Nominations for positions are open and can be given to Committee members or by texting 0871723256 with your ideas.

Classes resume in February

Due to the long term forecast for harsh winter weather and in the interest of safety for members travelling the roads, it was decided not to schedule any optional classes until February.

Pickleball

The ever-popular sport of pickleball continues in Multyfarnham Community Centre each Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday mornings with BMB Active and can also be played on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7.00. New members are always welcome. No previous experience needed and a terrific way to stretch and strengthen your fitness in the new year. Junior Pickleball on Tuesday at 5.30. Spreading the love and joy of the sport, the Multyfarnham Pickleball Club is ring fencing an hour on Tuesdays at 5.30 for children 8- 12 years and 12 to 16 years to come, warm up, and learn and play this fun game. Condolences

BMB Active offers condolences to Nora Quigley on the sad passing of her beloved sister, Dympna Curley of Ballykeeran Big, Glasson. Condolences also to Dympna’s husband, Gabriel, daughter Amy, and sons Aaron and Robert Curley. BMB Active also offer condolences to Bernie Hughes on the passing of her sister-in-law Rose (Rosemarie) Coyle, née Hughes of Cranley, Mostrim, Longford. Rose’s family and friends are in our thoughts and prayers at this time of loss.
