Howdens, which supplies trade customers with kitchens, joinery, and hardware products, are proudly opening three new depots in the Republic of Ireland, with Navan being the new home to one of them. The Navan depot, along with launches in Galway and Wexford in March of this year, will bring the total number of Howdens depots to 33 across the whole of Ireland.

Managing Director of Howdens, Austin Cooke, paid the Navan team a visit to wish them well.

These new branches will not only offer customers more options in terms of all things joinery, but will create 19 new jobs, including sales, kitchen designers and depot management teams. Starting with just 14 depots in 1995, there are now more than 900 locations across Ireland, the UK, France, and Belgium. Located in Navan's Mullaghboy Industrial Estate, the Howdens team are on hand to walk you through endless options.

“The new depot will carry stock across all Howdens’ categories, including over 100 kitchen and fitted bedroom collections, from best on budget shaker designs to premium modern slab styles, plus joinery, doors, flooring and more – all from local stock for best availability and convenience, saving tradespeople time on their jobs," says Nuala Doyle, the new Navan depot manager.

“We offer expert planning advice at our depots, including a free home survey and design service where we visit the home, take measurements, explore products, and advise how to make the most of a space - no matter the budget."

Tested at an in-house facility by industry recognised testing associations, Howdens know their products are built to last, so much so that they offer a 25-year guarantee on cabinets, a five-year guarantee on kitchen doors, and a three-year guarantee on Lamona-branded appliances.

“We are committed to protecting the environment, which is why 100 per cent of the chipboard and MDF materials we use is from certified sources. Some 98 per cent of all waste produced in manufacturing and logistics is diverted from landfill and re-used to produce energy for our factories," Nuala explains.

The company has plans to open seven further new depots across Ireland in 2026. Brian Buchan, Howdens regional director for the Republic of Ireland, says: “Our new openings show our commitment to trade customers across the region. It’s an exciting time to join our team, as we create more new jobs in Navan, Galway and Wexford, as well as our further planned expansion into 2026.”

"We're thrilled to finally have a location in Navan! We have recruited a great local team, so a lot of faces will be familiar to our customers. We have one team member still to recruit for 'Our Depot Rep'. We welcome any interested members of the public, to forward their cv to the team in Navan or via this link. We are also looking to support the community through fundraising and sponsorships, we would love recommendations from the locale for worthy causes."
