One person in hospital after Killucan crash
Westmeath emergency services were called to the scene of a road traffic crash outside Floods Quarry on the Killucan Road earlier this morning.
The incident reportedly involved four vehicles. A statement for the Garda Press Office said one person involved required hospital treatment.
The statement said: “Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a road traffic collision on the R156 near Killucan, Westmeath. The collision occurred this morning, January 27, 2026 shortly after 9am.
“A male driver (aged in his 60s ) was conveyed to Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore for treatment of injuries believed to be non-life threatening at this time. No other injuries were reported.”
