Oran England to launch 2026 rally season with Peugeot support at Mullingar dealership
Oran England to launch 2026 season with exclusive Peugeot support
Cavan-based rally driver Oran England will officially launch his 2026 motorsport campaign at Lough Owel Peugeot in Mullingar on Friday, February 6.
The former two-time Irish karting champion will tackle the Motorsport Ireland Junior Rally Series (MIJRS). The series is designed to test young drivers on gravel and tarmac, and offers the overall winner a nomination for the Billy Coleman Award.
Oran, who transitioned from karting to rallying just two years ago, has quickly established himself as one of the fastest emerging talents in the country.
Beyond the Irish championship, Oran is finalising plans to make his international debut, and is in advanced talks with a Portuguese team to contest selected rounds of the Portuguese Rally Championship in a Spanish-run Peugeot 208 Rally4 to gain experience on the continent.
For the upcoming season, Oran will be partnered by Sligo-based co-driver Darragh Mullen, who brings a high level of experience to the cockpit as the reigning British junior co-driving rally champion.
The pair will compete in a Peugeot 208 Rally4, a car that has become the benchmark for the class globally.
Lough Owel Peugeot dealer principal Barry Coleman said they are proud to support a driver of Oran’s calibre.
He said hosting the launch in the Mullingar showroom is a great way to link the Peugeot brand with high-performance motorsport and invited local fans to attend.
Oran, in turn, expressed his gratitude for the expanded partnership, sand said having the direct backing of Peugeot Ireland is a massive boost for his career. He said the goal for 2026 is to challenge for the MIJRS title while successfully making the jump to international competition in Portugal.
The launch event begins at 6.30pm on Friday February 6 at Lough Owel Peugeot, Mullingar, and includes the official car unveiling, season previews, and networking for supporters and motorsport fans.
Oran England Motorsport is supported by Peugeot Ireland; TEE Fire Safety Solutions; BJD Electrical; The Mason’s Apron; Lough Owel Motors; BSR Plant and Civil; Fortus; Streamline Coaches; OHR; CA Hire.
