Remembrance Tree funds handed over

Since 2007, the communities of Mullingar and north Westmeath have supported and engaged with the Remembrance Tree in Dominick Square at Christmas time.

The tree stands as a symbol of remembrance, honouring loved ones who have passed, or who may no longer be with us.

Mullingar Rotary Club and North Westmeath Hospice CLG sincerely thank everyone who took the time to visit the tree and support the initiative.

This year, a total of €17,476.15 was raised. The funds will be shared equally between palliative home care services and Rotary Club.

Remembrance services to honour those who have passed took place in the Cathedral of Christ the King on Sunday January 18 and in All Saints Church on Sunday January 25.
