Westmeath player wins Lotto Plus 2 top prize of €250,000
A Lotto player in Westmeath had a night to remember on Wednesday after winning the top prize of €250,000 in the Lotto Plus 2 draw. The winning ticket was purchased on Tuesday 10 March at Circle K Athlone on the Dublin Road.
The winning numbers for the Wednesday 11 March draw were: 06, 20, 22, 29, 30, 32 and the bonus was 15.
The Westmeath winner is advised to sign the back of their ticket and keep it safe. They should contact the Prize Claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to visit Lottery Headquarters to collect their prize.
As there was no winner of the €2,987,349 jackpot on offer in last night night’s main draw, Saturday’s jackpot is now set to roll towards an estimated €3.5 million.
And that’s not the only prize on offer this weekend. The National Lottery has confirmed that €1m is guaranteed to be won in a special Lotto Plus Raffle event on Saturday night.
The Lotto Plus Raffle typically sees between 60 and 120 winners of €500 in every draw but for this Saturday’s draw, the National Lottery is adding a guaranteed to be won €1m to the Lotto Plus Raffle prize fund.
Each of the tickets with the winning Lotto Plus Raffle number drawn in Saturday night’s draw will be entered into a once-off draw, where one ticket will be selected to win an additional prize of €1 million, as well as the usual €500 Raffle prize.
National Lottery spokesperson Sarah Orr said: “It could be a weekend of huge celebrations for Lotto players with the jackpot heading towards an estimated €3.5m million and of course our special Lotto Plus Raffle which promises to see one player win a guaranteed €1 million.
"Players already dreaming of what their big win plans would be, are reminded that tickets can be purchased in-store, through the National Lottery app or at www.lottery.ie ahead of the 7.45pm cut-off time for sales on Saturday evening.”
