Cúpla Focal at Trăth na gCeist for Seachtain na Gaeilge
Mullingar CCÉ Branch had a wonderful Tráth na gCeist on Sunday last to celebrate Seachtain na Gaeilge. From the moment the quiz began, there was Gaeilge to be heard around all corners of Áras an Mhuilinn, creating a great atmosphere for everyone who attended.
The Tráth na gCeist was aimed at families and included a fun mix of Irish and English questions, making it enjoyable and accessible for all ages and levels of Irish. It was fantastic to see everyone making such an effort to use their cúpla focal, and many people picked up a few new words and phrases along the way.
There was plenty of laughter, friendly competition and great teamwork throughout the afternoon, as families and friends came together to test their knowledge across a wide range of topics. Events like this are a lovely way to celebrate the language and culture while bringing the community together.
A big thank-you to everyone who came along, took part, and supported the event. The money raised from the Tráth na gCeist will go towards the Westmeath County Fleadh, which Mullingar CCÉ will host on May 8-10. “We look forward to welcoming everyone back to Mullingar for what promises to be a fantastic weekend of music, culture and community.”
