Tours of Mullingar, 'the only town in Ireland named after a miracle' with Ruth Illingworth
Historian Ruth Illingworth is conducting heritage walking tours of Mullingar over the weekend in the lead-up to St Patrick’s Day.
The first is this evening, Friday March 13 at 6pm, and they continue tomorrow Saturday March 14 also at 6pm and on Sunday March 15 there are three tours, at noon, 3pm and 6pm. On Monday March 16 there is a last tour at 3pm.
Ruth says: “Follow in the footsteps of St Patrick – discover the 5,000-year story of Mullingar, the only town in Ireland named after a miracle!”
The cost is €5 for adults (children free) and the tour start at the Market House.
